The Centre for Civil Society (CCS) on Monday said it has been ranked 50th in the 2013 worldwide “Go To Think Tanks” study conducted by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

“The organisation is the only Indian think-tank to feature in the top 100 for the fifth consecutive year. The study analysed a total 6,826 think-tanks from across the globe and came out with a comprehensive ranking, where the CCS has been ranked 15th among all the think tanks in India, China, Japan and Korea as well,” said a CCS official.

“It places increased responsibility on our shoulders to work for a better Civil Society through effective policy changes, which allow people freedom to choose within a limited regulatory framework,” said CCS president Parth J. Shah.
